Metropolitan Cathedral:

It was built between 1688 and 1796 and it represents one of the best examples of the religious colonial architecture of Panama. Its main entrance is made of stones with a bell tower on each side. The bells were taken from the Cathedral of Old Panama after the destruction of that city by Henry Morgan in 1671.

Old Municipal Palace:

Was built under the influence of the Italian neoclassical style in 1910 as a replacement of the ancient colonial Council Chapter Building where the Independence from Spain, and the separation from Colombia, were proclaimed in 1821 and 1903 respectively. This building is now used by the Panama History Museum and the Panamanian History Academy.
